Moong-Dal Khichdi

“Khichdi ke chaar yaar- Ghee, Papad, Dahi, Anchaar”.

Ingredients:

Serves 2

  • 1 Cup rice
  • 1/2 Cup moong-dal
  • Salt
  • Turmeric powder
  • 4 Cup water
  • Ghee

Recipe:

Step 1- Wash and soak rice. Drain the water completely

Step 2- Roast moong dal in a pan for 3-4mins on low flame

Step 3- Boil 3 cups water in cooker and add soaked rice and dal in it

Step 4- Add salt and turmeric in it and pressure cook for 1 whistle.

Serve hot with 1 teaspoon of ghee, papad, dahi, pickles (optional), Aloo Chokha (mashed potatoes).
