“Amchi mumbaiya’s all time favourite street food: Vada-Pav” Vada-Pav Aka Batata Vada Aka Bombay Burger 😀

Ingredients:

- 1 Cup besan
- 2 Boiled potatoes
- 1/2 chopped
- 2-3 Chopped green chilly
- 5-6 Curry leaves
- 2 Tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 Tablespoon cummins seeds
- 1/2 Tablespoon black pepper powder
- Pinch on hing
- Turmeric powder
- Red chilly powder
- Baking soda
- Cooking oil
- Salt
Recipe:
Step 1- Mashed the boiled potatoes in a bowl and keep it aside
Step 2- Heat oil in a pan and add cummin seeds. Let in crackle then add curry leaves and pinch of hing
Step 3- Add onions and stir fry it then add all the spices and salt
Step 4- Turn off the flame and add lemon juice and mix this mixture in mashed potatoes and make equal size potato balls
Step 5- Now in another bowl mix turmeric, red chilly powder, baking soda and salt in besan, add water as needed to make thick consistency batter
Step 6- Heat oil in a deep frying pan. Dip potato balls in besan batter so that its coated completely with besan and fry it
Step 7- Remove fried vada on paper towel. And Your vada is ready to be served.
Serve it with Pav, fried green chilly and chutney/sauce of your choice.
