Puffed Aloo Patties

I still remember those days when I used to eat Aloo patties outside the school and it used to be so yummm ๐Ÿ™‚ Tried my hands on Aloo-Patties..Not the same as those days but Good ๐Ÿ˜› ๐Ÿ™‚ You can try it ๐Ÿ˜‰ Simple yet Delicious ๐Ÿ™‚

Ingredients:

For patties sheet:

  • 2 Cup all purpose flour
  • Butter
  • Salt
  • Baking soda
  • Cold water

For Filling:

  • 2 Boiled potato
  • 1 Cup green peas
  • 1/2 Chopped onion
  • 2 Chopped green chillies
  • 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
  • 4-5 Curry leaves
  • 1/2 Tablespoon mustard seeds
  • 1/2 Tablespoon cumin & coriander powder
  • 1/2 Tablespoon garam masala
  • 1 Tablespoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 Tablespoon red chilly powder
  • Salt
  • Butter

Recipe:

Step 1-ย Mix all purpose flour, salt, pinch of baking soda and butter in a bowl and then slowly mix cold water to make soft dough. Keep aside for 20mins.

Step 2-ย  Heat butter in a pan and add mustard seeds and curry leaves

Step 3-ย Add chopped chillies and onions. Fry till onions turn golden brown

Step 4-ย Add cumin, turmeric, red chilly powder, garam masala and salt

Step 5-ย Add green peas and fry for 2mins on medium flame

Step 6-ย Add mashed boiled potato and mix well and squeeze lemon

Step 7-ย Turn off the flame and keep aside

Step 8-ย  Now start making the patties sheet. Make four folds of the dough for at least 4-5 times. Every time you fold the dough apply butter/oil

Step 9-ย Cut the sheet into square and start filling it in whatever shape you want and apply butter on top

Step 10-ย Pre-heat oven at 425ยบF and keep the puffed patties for 25-30mins
