Gulab Jamun

“A Balanced Diet Is Having Gulab Jamun In Both The Hands”

When I look at gulab jamun I S-M-I-L-E 🙂

Ingredients:

For gulab jamun

  • 1.5 Cup all purpose flour
  • 1 Cup milk powder
  • A pinch os salt
  • 1/2 Tablespoon ghee
  • 1-2 Tablespoon of yogurt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon soda

For Sugar Syrup

  • 2 Cups of water
  • 1.5 Cups sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon rose water
  • 1 Tablespoon green cardamom powder

Recipe:

Sugar syrup:

Step 1- Mix cardamom and sugar in water and cook till you get a syrup consistency

Step 2- Turn off the flame and stir in the rose water and keep aside

Gulab Jamun:

Step 1- Mix all purpose flour, milk powder, salt and soda in a bowl

Step 2- Add ghee and 1 tbsp yogurt and mix it well

Step 3- mix and keep on adding little of the yogurt to get a soft sticky mixture

Step 4- Make smooth small balls from the dough

Step 5- Heat oil in a deep frying fan and fry the balls until its golden brown. Remove and keep aside

Step 6-  Add gulab jamun to the sugar syrup and let them soak in the sugar syrup for atleast 1-2 hours.
