“Pyaaz Pakoda/ Kaanda Bhajiya” These are very commonly prepared snacks at every Indian homes during rainy days 😀 Quick and easy snacks to be served with evening tea.

Enjoy your plate of Pyaaz pakoda with Masala Chai and tamarind chutney 🙂
Serves 2
Ingredients:

  • 1 Large onion
  • 1/2 Cup gram flour/ besan
  • 2 Tbsp rice flour (optional)
  • 2 Chopped green chilies
  • 1 Tsp grated ginger
  • 2 Tbsp chopped coriander leaves (optional)
  • 1 Tsp ajwain/ carom seeds
  • Salt as required
  • Oil for deep frying

Recipe:
Step 1- Slice onion thinly and add chopped green chilies, grated ginger, chopped coriander leaves, ajwain, salt, rice flour and gram flour in a bowl and mix them
Step 2- Keep the mixture aside for 5-10mins. Add 2-3 tbsp of water to make a moist dough
Do not add more water because onion will also release moisture
Step 3- Heat oil in a deep pan/ kadhai on high flame and take small portions of mixture and fry them until cooked

Remove on kitchen towel and serve with Masala Chai 🙂
