Apple-Cinnamon Cake

If An Apple A Day Keeps Doctor Away! They why you are not using me in your diet daily?” That’s what apples in my fridge keep asking me 😛 So finally used some of them in a yummy way 😀 “An eggless apple-cinnamon cake”.
This time welcome Fall Season with this Apple-Cinnamon Cake. A nice change from Apple Pies.

Start your day with a slice of this apple-cinnamon cake and Coffee. It can be best served as a dessert also with a scoop of your favorite ice-cream.

Ingredients:

  • 2.5 Cup all purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 Tsp baking soda
  • 1.5 Cup brown sugar/ white sugar
  • 1/2 Cup milk
  • 1 Tsp apple cider vinegar/ white vinegar
  • 1 Cup melted butter/ oil (Unsalted butter)
  • 3 Medium apple finely chopped
  • 1 Tsp salt (Skip salt if using salted butter)
  • 1/4 Cup water if required

Recipe:
Step 1- Add apple cider vinegar to milk and leave for 5mins
Step 2- Mix cinnamon powder and baking soda to all purpose flour and mix well using your fingers
Step 3- Add the milk-vinegar mixture, sugar and salt to melted butter/ oil (Skip salt if using salted butter)
Add this mixture to flour and beat well using the electric mixer or beater
Step 4- Now add the chopped apple to the mixture and again beat the mixture for good 5-6mins. If the batter is very thick add little water and again beat well for 3-4mins
Step 5- Preheat oven at 350-360ºF (180ºC) and bake the cake for 50-60mins. Check the cake by inserting toothpick. If it comes out clean your cake is ready. If not, then bake for extra few mins

Serve your cake with a scoop of ice-cream/ Coffee/ or enjoy as it is 🙂
