Being a North Indian I am crazy about momo. For me, there is nothing better than a steaming hot plate of chicken momos when I am craving for something hot n spicy. And after moving to the USA I miss those Delhi’s street side momo. “Necessity is the mother of creativity”, Absolutely true. I finally learned how to make momos. 😀 It’s raining today and what else you need other than a plate of hot Chicken Momo with spicy chutney. 😀 The internet is full of momo recipe but I couldn’t resist sharing my whole-wheat chicken momo recipe. Today I am sharing a healthy recipe for steamed Chicken Momo with wheat flour.
Momo folding technique is something I am yet to learn perfectly but nevermind 😛 I tried my best and I am more than satisfied with the result 😀

Steaming
For steaming the momos you can use steamer/ pressure cooker/ or kadhai with a lid. For momo in a pressure cooker, boil 2 glass of water on high flame put the momos in a greased pan and close the lid and remove whistle, cook on medium flame for 15mins.
For momo in a kadhai, boil 2 glass of water on high flame, place the momos in a pan and close the lid. Cook for 15mins on medium flame
Here I am using a steamer for momo. Once the water starts boiling grease the steamer pan and keeps momo leaving little space in between and cover the lid of the steamer and steam for 12-15mins on medium flame.
Check using a toothpick/ fork whether momo are cooked or not. If required steam for some more time. Turn off the flame and serve hot with chili-garlic chutney 🙂

They look delicious. I am gonna try this.
