Step 1- In a bowl whisk butter and sugar together until sugar is mixed properly and then add vanilla essence.
If you are using unsalted butter add salt and mix

Step 2- In another bowl add tutti frutti and black raisins to all purpose flour and then add butter and sugar mixture

Step 3- Mix using your finger tips. There should not be any lumps in the mixture. Add milk as required and assemble the mixture. DO NOT ADD WATER. Add more milk if required. Make a sticky soft dough. Don’t knead more
Roll the dough and make logs. Wrap in a butter paper if you have. Else wrap in a foil and freeze for 30mins

Step 4- Take the dough out and using a very sharp knife cut into cookies pieces in one go otherwise it will break. Cut all in even sizes otherwise some will be over cooked and some will be uncooked.
Preheat oven at 375ºF/ 180ºC and grease a baking tray and keep all the slices on tray and bake for 10mins. Turn the cookies and bake for another 4-5mins if required
Keep checking because the time of baking varies depending upon the size and thickness of cookies

Turn off the oven and remove the tray. Let the cookies cool down completely  and then store them in an air tight container.
