Sweet Potato Bread Roll

Crunchy on the outside and soft and spicy from inside. Good for party snack as it is very easy to make and a crowd pleaser. Serve hot with ketchup and mint-coriander chutney and enjoy.

Ingredients:

  • 2 sweet potatoes
  • 1/2 Cup grated carrot
  • 1/4 Cup chopped spring onion
  • 1 Tbsp finely chopped garlic cloves
  • 1 Tsp finely chopped ginger
  • 1 Tsp cumin-coriander powder
  • 1 Tsp red chili powder
  • Salt as required
  • 4 Bread slices
  • Oil for deep frying

Recipe:
Step 1- Boil sweet potato in a pressure cooker for 1 whistle. Let the pressure goes off completely and open the lid. Peel and mash the sweet potato in a bowl and add the copped spring onion, ginger, garlic and grated carrot. Add red chili powder, cumin-coriander powder and salt. Mix well


Step 2-  Cut sides of the bread and roll into flat. Put 2 tbsp stuffing in the middle

Apply water on the edges and close from the ends like shown in the below picture. Make sure it is closed properly otherwise the stuffing will come out while deep frying. Roll the other breads as well and stuff

Step 3- Heat oil in a pan deep fry the rolls on high flame until brown and crisp. Remove on a kitchen towel
