Paneer Damdaar, I thought to give this name to my new invented dish because it was really Damdaar in taste and looks as well 😉 I am not a big Paneer fan but I love trying new dishes of Paneer for my dearo better half 😀 Though I like Chilli Paneer & Paneer Tikka. This is the super tasty dish of paneer I have ever made. 😀 Now I know what I need to prepare whenever I buy Paneer. The recipe is really easy and takes less time also. So what I am saying is do try this at home and enjoy the rich, creamy, spicy and yummylicious dish with rice or chapati and make your taste buds and tummy happy-happy 😀

Learn Step By Step Recipe With Pictures For Paneer Damdaar
Serves 3-4
Ingredients:
- 250 gms Paneer cubes
- 1 Medium onion finely chopped
- 1 Medium tomato finely chopped
- 1/4 Cup roasted cashew nuts
- 3-4 Dry red chilies
- 1-inch cinnamon stick
- 1 Bay leaf
- 2 Black cardamoms
- 2 Cloves
- 1/2 Tsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp ginger- garlic paste
- 1/4 Cup cubed onion
- 1/4 Cup cubed capsicum
- 1/2 Tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 Tsp garam masala
- 1 Tsp red chili powder or as you like
- 1 Tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 Tsp crushed Kasuri methi
- 1/4 Cup milk
- Salt as required
- Ghee/ oil for cooking
Recipe:
Step 1- Heat ghee/oil in a pan and add roasted cashew nuts, dry red chilies, black cardamoms, bay leaf, cinnamon stick and cloves, sauté for few seconds and add chopped onions and add 1/2tsp sugar and fry
Step 2- When the onion turns translucent turn off the flame. Take chopped tomatoes, ginger garlic paste in the same pan. Mix well
Transfer them to a jar. Add 2-3tbsp of water and grind them to a smooth paste

Step 3- In the same pan add 1tbsp ghee/ oil and sauté cubed capsicum, onion and paneer together for 3-4mins and remove in a plate and keep aside
Step 4- In the same pan transfer the masala paste and fry on medium flame for 7-8mins and then add salt as required
Step 5- Then add turmeric powder, garam masala, red chili powder, coriander powder and kasuri methi. Mix well and fry for 4-5mins and add milk. Lower the flame and let the masala cook for 5mins. Add water if required
Milk gives the consistency to the gravy and a nice flavor too. You can substitute milk with fresh cream
Step 6- Once the masala reaches the desired consistency level add the fried paneer, onion and capsicum
Mix well and cover the lid of the pan and cook for another 1-2mins and then turn off the flame
Serve this yummylicious dish with rice/ chapati or paratha and enjoy 🙂
