We. The MANGO people, Love MANGOes πŸ˜› πŸ˜€ I just CAN’T SAY NO to mango even if my tummy is fully packed, and I’m in no mood to eat anything. Aam Ka Mausam and I don’t make Mango shakes? Ahhh…Na Na Na…Not possible! πŸ˜€ Just saw a picture on the internet and can’t take my eyes off of that picture of Mango Mastani. It was THAT beautiful and appealing to eyes. So now what? Arey just make it now and enjoy Maddy πŸ˜€

“Mango Mastani” sounds interesting..isn’t it? I don’t know how this drink got this name. Have heard stories like it’s named after Peshwa Bajirao’s wife Mastani. She was very beautiful and so is this drink. πŸ™‚ Though this drink is very famous in Pune and now you would find this drink in ANYWHERE in India.

Mango Mastani is nothing but a thick mango shake served with dollops of ice-cream, nuts, mango pieces and cherry/ tutti frutti. This drink looks so beautiful that you just can’t say NO. πŸ˜› Please have it empty stomach because this is soooo rich and tummy filling. πŸ˜€

Serves 2
Ingredients:

  • 2 Large mangoes (of your choice)
  • 1/2 Cup chilled milk
  • 2-3 Tbsp sugar (optional)
  • 2 Tbsp chopped mango pieces, for topping
  • 2-3 Tbsp dry fruits (cashews, almonds, pistachios)
  • 1 Tbsp black raisins
  • 2 Tbsp tutti-frutti
  • 5-6 Scoops of vanilla ice-cream

Recipe:
Step 1- Chop/ slice the nuts and with some mango pieces keep aside for topping. Then peel and chop the mangoes into medium pieces and add them to the blender with milk and 2 scoops of vanilla ice-cream

Step 2- Add sugar if you want the drink to be sweeter and blend to a smooth shake

Step 3- Pour the shake into serving glasses and top with some mango pieces, a scoop of ice-cream and dry fruits and tutti frutti

Serve immediately with a spoon and enjoy the rich, heavy and delicious Mango Mastani.
