A very simple, easy, and tasty Breakfast recipe with North Indian Tikka flavor. This is a delicious and spicy Sandwich recipe with less and fresh ingredients already available in your kitchen pantry. On your busy weekday mornings, all you need is a pack of whole wheat bread or multi-grain bread, fresh veggies, and few ingredients to make this healthy Sandwich.

This delicious Paneer Tikka Sandwich can also be a quick fix for your tea-time snack or an easy-peasy yummy lunch box meal for you and your family. Do try this mouth-watering Sandwich.

Serves 4

Ingredients:

For Marination

  • 1 Cup paneer, cut into small bite-size pieces
  • 2 Tbsp hung curd or greek yogurt
  • 1 ½ Tsp tikka masala
  • 1 Tsp red chili powder
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt as required

For Sandwich

  • 8 Whole wheat bread slices (or multi-grain bread or white bread)
  • ½ Cup green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • ½ Cup onion, thinly sliced
  • Green chutney, as required
  • Sour cream, as required
  • Salt as required
  • 3 Tbsp oil/ butter
  • A handful of green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • A handful of onion, thinly sliced

Recipe:

Step 1- In a mixing bowl, take all the marination ingredients and marinate the paneer. Refrigerate overnight or at least for 3-4hrs

Step 2- Heat oil or butter in a pan and shallow fry the marinated paneer until golden brown and crisp. Transfer to a plate

Step 3- In the same pan add oil or butter if required and half fry the chopped bell peppers. Transfer them to plate

Step 4- Add 1tsp-1tbsp of oil or butter and fry onions until translucent and soft. Transfer them too to a plate

Step 5- Using a toaster or the pan, toast the bread slices. Apply green chutney on all one side of all the bread slices. Take one slice and place few fried bell pepper and onions, and paneer. Top with raw onion slices and bell pepper slices. Top with sour cream or any of your favorite sauce and cover with a bread slice

Serve with chutney or sauce or mayo and enjoy. 🙂
