Who doesn’t love Pizza? Isn’t that we all have our own favorite kind of Pizza. Pizzas are delicious! The freshly baked pizza with lots of cheese, toppings, and Italian seasoning…smells heavenly. But the amount of guilt it brings with just a slice is too much. 😀 We eat Pizza once or twice a month so you can see how much guilt I am into. 😛 So finally after so many days of eating Pizza outside, I tried my hands on a healthy pizza crust made with whole wheat.
I have used pizza crust yeast which requires no proofing. You can instantly bake the pizza after kneading the dough, though I recommend leaving the dough for 20-30mins meanwhile, gather all the sauce and prepare the toppings. With this easy-peasy recipe, you can make pizza any day and any time.
For pizza toppings, I have used all color capsicum, pickled jalapenos, and paneer. Now your Pizza your favorite topping and enjoy pizza without any guilt. 😀

Serves 3 Thin crust pizza (6 slices each)
- 2 ¼ Cup whole wheat flour
- 1 Envelope pizza crust yeast
- 2/3 Cup warm water (or as required for kneading the dough)
- 3 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 ½ Tsp sugar
- ¼ Tsp salt
For Pizza Topping (For 2 Thin Crust Pizza)
- 6-8 Tbsp Pizza sauce
- 1 cup grated Mozzarella cheese
- ½ Cup mixed capsicum, chopped into cubes on thinly sliced (green, yellow, red)
- 10-12 pickled jalapeno peppers pieces
- 2 Tbsp paneer, cut into small bite-size pieces
- 2 Tbsp pizza seasoning
- 2 Tsp chili flakes

Step 1- In a bowl take warm water, pizza crust yeast, sugar, salt, and olive oil. Let the mixture get frothy and then add this to the whole wheat flour and knead to a smooth dough. Add more water if required. The dough will be little sticky but it’s fine
Step 2- Knead the dough for a good 4-5mins. Grease a bowl and leave the dough for 20-30mins. The dough will be doubled now. Meanwhile, gather all the pizza topping ingredients
Step 3- Pre-heat oven at 475ºF for 15mins.
Divide the dough into 3 equal parts and roll one into a medium size pizza (12-14inches circle). Gently press the dough using your fingertips. Place 2tbsp of pizza sauce and spread evenly
Step 4- Grease a pizza pan and dust with flour. Using the help of the pizza tray place the pizza dough on the pizza pan and spread grated cheese on the dough. Add your favorite toppings. Sprinkle pizza seasoning and chili flakes
Step 5- Place the pizza pan in the heated oven and bake for 16mins or until the crust is brown and crisp. Remove from the oven. Slice and serve
