Take your simple and regular papad to another level with this easy recipe and with readily available ingredients in your kitchen. This could be your next favorite, very easy, and quick to make evening tea-time snack.
During graduation days, we were 12 F-R-I-E-N-D-S in our group and on every member’s birthday, irrespective of the season we will bunk the college and will roam around the city and will end the day with a nice lunch (because late nights were not allowed to anyone 😛 ) at the restaurant which gets the maximum number of votes from us. I tell you, not even a single person from our group will look into the menu and we will start with the Masala Papad first. And as soon as it arrives on the table it’s gone in a FLASH! 😀
This can be made in a jiffy when you crave for something to munch on in between your meals or even for your evening snack. Truly a crowd pleaser with minimal effort and ingredients. Take your regular papad and toast it or even deep fry it, garnish with finely chopped onion, tomato, green chilies, coriander leaves, sev namkeen, sprinkle some chat masala, salt, and a dash of lemon juice and it’s ready to eat. To make it more appetizing top it up with roasted peanuts, green chutney, and red chutney.
Serves 1 Papad
- 1 Papad
- 1 Tbsp roasted peanuts
- 1 Tbsp sev
- ¼ Cup onion, finely chopped
- 2 Tbsp tomato, deseeded and finely chopped
- 1 Green chili, finely chopped
- 2 Tbsp coriander leaves, chopped
- 1 Tsp red chutney
- ¼ Tsp chat masala
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- Salt as required
Toast a papad in the microwave for 30secs or on the gas stove and place the papad on the serving plate. In a mixing bowl, except sev take all the ingredients and toss. Spread the mixture evenly on the papad and top it up sev. Serve immediately
