Raita is the best accompaniment to serve with spicy Indian dishes and to beat the heat during the Summer season. Pair it up with any Pulao or Biryani or Tahiri, Rice and curry, or even with Roti-Sabji, it will pair it up like a match made in heaven. We Indians serve Raita with our meals mainly for two reasons, first, to soothe our palates and stomach after having a spicy meal and second, to beat the scorching heat waves during summer. And of course, above all, it tastes delicious.

Boondi Raita or Boondi Ka Raita is our favorite to serve as an accompaniment to our meals. Not only it is easy and quick to make, it’s also delicious. My mommy uses to temper the Boondi Raita sometimes and trust me, it tastes so much more delicious than the regular Boondi Ka Raita. There are so so so many variations of Boondi Ka Raita and I am sure they all taste great. I always prepare Boondi Raita or any other Raita to serve with our lunch. I love to have Raita with my meals as it not just completes the meal, it helps your stomach stay cool in summer season. 😀 The husband too loves Boondi Raita and Cucumber Raita. Serve a bowl of Raita with any Biryani or Pulao and he won’t ask for anything else and don’t you dare to serve Biryani without any Raita. 😀
