It’s again that time of the year when you have your family and friends visiting you. Lucky are those who get the chance to share their time and food with their near and dear ones. ❤ Long conversations and healthy munchies are all you need when you have lovely people around you. A late night gup-shup (chit-chat) and a bowl of these spicy roasted nuts for munching…that’s it!

I have seriously not planned anything yet for Christmas, a terrible planner you can say But I definitely know what I am going to cook. 😉 That includes a rich Christmas cake, some goodies-cookies, and a full-fledged dinner. The countdown has begun for Christmas and I have already soaked the dry fruits for my Christmas cake. What about you? You still have time, just soak them now. Coming back to these spicy roasted nuts, I have prepared this for Diwali celebrations too and it was totally addictive. The husband emptied the jar within a week. I couldn’t post the recipe at that time but it’s here now. Sharing my addictive, healthy, and a quick munchy recipe with you all. Do prepare this for Christmas and let me know how many days your family took to empty the whole jar. Haha..just kidding! (ehh..pardon my sense of humor)

No, but seriously, throwing a Christmas party? You must prepare these spicy roasted nuts for your guests. They will be going to love this.


The blend of Indian spices gives these nuts a kick of flavor that you are going to love. Just BELIEVE ME.

A wonderful blend of Indian spices makes this munchy perfect for this winter season. You can use any combination of nuts and prepare this. They make a quick and healthy snack for any time of the day. These are really addictive. You won’t be able to store them for longer than 4-5days. 😀

Storing Tip- Cool them completely before storing them and store them in an airtight jar.



  • 1 Cup almonds
  • 1/3 Cup cashew nuts
  • ¼ Cup pumpkin seeds
  • ½ Cup roasted makhana
  • ¼ Cup chana jor garam (optional)
  • ¼ Cup namkeen
  • 8-10 Curry leaves
  • A fat pinch of turmeric powder
  • ¼ Tsp Red chili powder
  • ¼ Tsp Garam masala
  • ½ Tsp – 1 Tsp chaat masala (as desired)
  • 1 Tsp ghee
  • Salt as required

Step 1- Heat a pan and dry roast almonds, cashew nuts, and pumpkin seeds until golden and crisp. Transfer to a plate and heat 1tsp ghee in the same pan and saute curry leaves for 30secs. Add all the roasted nuts to the pan again and mix

Step 2- Now add the spices and salt to the roasted nuts and give them a nice mix. Mix roasted makhana, chana jor garam, and namkeen with the roasted nuts. Turn off the flame and let the mixture cool down completely before storing in an airtight jar
