This recipe is very close to Soyabean chilli yet different from it. I have simply deep fried the soaked soya chunks whereas coating the soyabean is needed while preparing Soyabean chilli.
Minimal sauces has been used here to prepare this recipe. So you won’t feel it’s too saucy. And even kids can have it too.
This could be a perfect crispy snack for this chilly winter evening paired with your favorite drink.
It doesn’t require any accompaniment. Just have it as it is and enjoy the crispy bites.

Serves 4
Ingredients:
- 2 Cups soya chunks (soak in salted warm water for 10mins. Squeeze the water and keep aside)
- 1 Small onion, cut into cubes
- 1/2 Cup veggie julians (include your favorite veggies. I have used bell pepper & carrot)
- 4-5 Dry red chilies
- 6 Garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 4-5 Hot green chilies, finely chopped
- 2 Tbsp onion, finely chopped
- 1 Tbsp ketchup
- 1 Tsp soy sauce
- 1 Tsp vinegar
- Salt as required
- Oil for frying

Recipe:
Step 1- Heat oil in a pan for deep frying. Fry the soya chunks until brown and crisp. I have used the double fry method to make them more crispy




Step 2- Keep just a Tbsp oil in the pan and remove the extra
Sizzle dry red chilies and chopped garlic until slightly brown. Now fry the chopped onion and green chilies for 2mins
Step 3- Add the onion cubes and veggie julians. Fry for 2mins on high flame. Add required salt and sauces. Turn off the flame now
Step 4- Coat the soya chunks well with the preparation and mix in the vinegar. Serve immediately to enjoy the crispy chunks
