Aloo Kachori

Crispy and flaky Aloo kachori stuffed with tangy and spicy potato filling can make anyone drool 😀 You can serve this Aloo Kachori as breakfast as well as snacks also. Enjoy this aloo kachori with your hot cup of tea in the evening with your family/ friends. Or serve them to your guests and get compliments 😉

Serves 3-4
Ingredients:
For dough

  • 1 Cup all purpose flour/ Maida
  • 2 Tbsp oil/ ghee
  • 1/2 Tsp Caraway seeds
  • Salt as required

For Stuffing

  • 3-4 medium sized boiled potatoes
  • 2 chopped green chillies
  •  1/2 Tsp amchur powder
  • 1 Tsp coriander powder
  • 1 Tsp red chilly powder
  • 1/4 Tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt as required

Recipe:
Dough
Step 1- Take a bowl and and add maida, cooking oil, caraway seeds and salt. Mix well and make soft dough with cold water and cover it with wet cotton cloth for 10-15mins


Stuffing
Step 2– Take a bowl and mash the boiled potatoes in it and add all the stuffing ingredients. Make small balls from that mixture and keep it aside
Step 3– Divide the dough into small equal balls and roll into thick poori and fill the potato balls in it

Pooris should not be too thick or too thin. Make sure the stuffing doesn’t come out
Step 4– Heat oil in a deep pan and deep fry the kachoris on medium flame. When one side is cooked and golden brown flip the kachori and let it cook from another side. Flip more if required

When it’s golden brown and crisp, remove on a kitchen towel and serve hot with Ketchup/ Coriander Chutney/ Tamarind Chutney
