An absolutely delicious recipe which you can’t resist. AND when it’s raining outside what else my mind can think of eating other than Litti 😛 So I finally made Chicken Masaledar, Baingan Ka Chokha to serve with Litti and we LOVED it! Nothing can beat the taste of Litti..Not at least for Me 😛
“Litti” A Traditional Dish From Bihar. It is mostly eaten with Chokha which is made from roasted brinjal or mashed potato or mixing both. Litti Chokha is a very common dish served in Bihar, U.P, and Jharkhand as a breakfast, tea time snack or dinner. OR The best time to eat Litti is ANYTIME 😀

Serves 3-4
Ingredients:
For Litti Dough
- 2 Cups wheat flour
- 1 Tbsp ajwain
- 1 Tbsp ghee/oil
- Salt as required
For Stuffing
- 1 Cup sattu
- 1 Inch ginger finely chopped
- 5-6 Garlic cloves finely chopped
- 2-3 Green chilies finely chopped
- 1/4 Cup finely chopped onion (optional)
- 1 Tsp ajwain
- 1 Tsp homemade mango/ chili pickle masala
- 2 Tbsp mustard oil
- 2 Tbsp lemon juice
- Salt as required
Recipe:
Step 1- In a large bowl take wheat flour and add ajwain, salt, and oil. Mix them with your fingers and using water knead to a soft dough and keep aside
Step 2- Take sattu in another bowl and add ginger, garlic, onions, green chilies, ajwain, pickle masala, mustard oil, salt and lemon juice. Mix well all the ingredients
Step 3- Now it’s time to shape the littis. Divide the dough into equal size medium balls and roll one like a thick poori and put 1tbsp of stuffing in the center
close the edges well and between your palms again shape them like a ball. Do this with all the dough balls
Step 4- Preheat oven to 400ºF to at least 10mins. Line an aluminum foil in the oven and bake the littis for 20mins then flip and again bake for 20mins from another side. Turn off the oven and remove littis
Dip the littis in ghee and serve with Baingan ka chokha and chicken 🙂 Yummy yummy in my tummy 😀
